York Manor’s Carla Wins Activity Organiser Award for Yorkshire and Humber

York Manor Care Home is delighted to share some exciting news! Carla, our Lifestyle Lead, has been named the Activity Organiser of the Year for Yorkshire and Humber at the prestigious Care Awards held at Leeds Armoury.

The care team celebrated the achievement with an evening of food, drinks, music, and cheer, but the highlight was undoubtedly returning home with a trophy recognizing Carla’s hard work and dedication.

Carla will now represent York Manor at the National Care Awards in February 2026, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Known for her creativity and kindness, Carla has introduced a wide range of memorable activities for residents, from horse riding to flying experiences, bringing joy and inspiration to all. In just one year, her dedication and compassionate approach have made a significant, positive impact on residents’ lives.

Carla truly is a ray of sunshine, and we feel very fortunate to have her as part of the York Manor family.
