York Manor Care Home, located at Blue Beck Drive, Shipton Road, York, North Yorkshire, YO30 5RA, recently hosted an enchanting festival to commemorate Care Home Open Week. The inaugural MANOR FEST dazzled residents, families, and local guests alike with an abundance of joy and excitement, celebrating the extraordinary theme “The Power of Music.”
The atmosphere filled with laughter as attendees mingled, enjoyed delightful snow cones from Dani’s stall, and explored vibrant booths run by local vendors. Children had a blast at their stalls, while the face-painting station transformed little ones into their favourite characters.
The highlight of the day was the talent made alive through captivating live performances. Singers such as Northern Soul Sista, Leanne Wright, Adam Snowball, and Johnny Greenwood took to the stage, filling the air with soul-soothing melodies that captivated all who attended. The combination of music and laughter was contagious, uniting the community in a beautiful harmony.
To add even more excitement, Owl Adventures introduced fascinating birds of prey, offering the opportunity for attendees to hold eagles and owls. The awe on people’s faces was testament to the experience’s appeal. The Grand Raffle also added a sprinkle of anticipation as guests eagerly participated for the chance to win fantastic prizes.
