What a fabulous day at Skegness

We took a wonderful trip to Skegness and, despite it being a busy day, we didn’t let that stop us from making some fantastic memories!

Our residents enjoyed getting out onto the beach, taking in the sea air and, of course, enjoying some traditional seaside food.  Brian opted for pie and chips and said it “hit the spot perfectly!”

Brian has not stopped talking about the beach since we returned and has been telling everyone he meets just how much he enjoyed it!  It was lovely to see how much the trip meant to him, especially as it was quite a long drive.

We even had a few unexpected visitors along the way! Our residents had the chance to have their photos taken with Mickey Mouse and a Stormtrooper, which created some brilliant memories and plenty of smiles.

And, of course, no trip to the seaside would be complete without ice cream! We all enjoyed a delicious treat and picked up some traditional seaside rock to bring back for friends and family.

A long journey, a busy beach, plenty of laughs, fish and chips, ice cream and lots of wonderful memories — a truly fabulous day out!
