Residents, families, and staff at Trent Bridge Care Home recently came together for a vibrant and inspiring Parkinson’s awareness event, delivered in collaboration with Diversify. The special “Move & Groove” session transformed the home into a lively hub of music, movement, and meaningful connection.
Designed to promote both physical activity and awareness, the session offered residents a unique opportunity to take part in gentle, accessible movement exercises tailored to suit all abilities. Through rhythm, music, and guided participation, attendees were able to explore new ways of staying active while learning more about Parkinson’s in a relaxed and engaging environment.
The event was further enhanced by a captivating live vocal performance from Luke, whose music brought an added sense of joy and nostalgia to the occasion. Residents were seen singing along, tapping their feet, and sharing smiles with loved ones—creating a truly heartwarming atmosphere that resonated throughout the home.
Families and visitors joined residents in the session, helping to foster a strong sense of togetherness and shared experience. Moments like these not only provide enjoyment but also support emotional wellbeing, strengthen relationships, and create lasting memories for everyone involved.
Diversify, based in Nottingham, is widely recognised for its innovative approach to wellbeing through its Parkinson’s Rhythm sessions. Their programmes are carefully designed to support individuals living with Parkinson’s and related conditions by improving mobility, coordination, and confidence through music and creative movement. Beyond physical benefits, their work plays a vital role in reducing isolation, encouraging self-expression, and building supportive community networks.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to enhancing quality of life and delivering meaningful experiences. By bringing external organisations into the home, Trent Bridge Care Home ensures residents remain connected to the wider community and continue to benefit from diverse, enriching activities.

This ongoing involvement not only strengthens ties with the local community but also empowers residents to remain active participants in the world around them. It reflects the home’s holistic approach to care—one that values social connection, emotional wellbeing, and personal fulfilment alongside high-quality clinical support.
