Trent Bridge Care Home Celebrates Team at First Ever Awards Night

Trent Bridge Care Home has celebrated the dedication, compassion and hard work of its team by hosting its first ever Team Awards Night.

The special evening brought together team members from departments across the home for a night dedicated entirely to celebration, recognition and appreciation.

From care and catering to housekeeping, maintenance, lifestyle, front of house and management, the event recognised the contribution every department makes towards creating a welcoming home and delivering truly person-centred care to residents.

What made the awards particularly special was those nominations and votes came from across the Trent Bridge community, with team members, residents, relatives and the management team all having the opportunity to recognise individuals who make a difference every day.

While the evening saw trophies and certificates presented across a mixture of meaningful and light-hearted categories, the purpose of the event extended far beyond recognising individual winners.

It was an opportunity to celebrate the entire Trent Bridge team and thank them for the dedication, compassion, commitment and energy they bring to the home every day.

Day Team Award Winners

The Team Player Award was presented to Sinead, while Catherine received the Family Gratitude Award, recognising the peace of mind and reassurance she provides to residents’ families.

Anita received the Beautiful Inside & Out Award, Emma was presented with the Mentor Award and Charlie and Lisa jointly received the Little Miss Organised Award.

The Rising Star Award went to Elise, while Nikki was recognised as the home’s Unsung Hero. Anna received the Bright Light Award and Carmen took home the Call Bell Ninja Award.

The Culinary Delight Award was presented to Lisa, while Maria received the Pristine Bed Award. Wendy was recognised with the Sunshine Award and Karen received the Master of Activities Award, alongside the more light-hearted Lateness Award.

Cheryl A received the Heart of Care Award in recognition of compassionate, person-centred care, while Laura received the Sparkle and Shine Award.

One of the evening’s particularly meaningful accolades, the Residents’ Choice Award, was presented to Helen, following votes from the people who call Trent Bridge home.

Sofia received the Workaholic Award, while Steph was presented with the evening’s light-hearted Office Nuisance Award.

Night Team Award Winners

The home’s night team were equally celebrated, with Nadeem receiving the Call Bell Ninja Award and Corrine taking home the Night Owl Award.

Elisha was named the night team’s Rising Star, Claire C received the Workaholic Award and Lorraine was presented with the Team Player Award.

The Residents’ Choice Award was presented to Magda, while Margaret received the light-hearted Lateness Award.

Special Recognition for Trent Bridge’s Leadership

Two particularly special awards were also presented during the evening in recognition of the leadership, commitment and passion at the heart of Trent Bridge Care Home.

Nikki was named Employee of the Year, following a nomination from Home Manager Luke. The award recognised her outstanding dedication, leadership and compassion, alongside the incredible impact she makes on residents, relatives and colleagues every day.

In return, Nikki nominated Luke for Manager of the Year, recognising his commitment to leading from the front, supporting his team and continually steering Trent Bridge forward.

The two awards provided a fitting opportunity to recognise the importance of strong leadership and the role it plays in creating a positive culture where team members feel supported and residents remain at the centre of everything the home does.

The evening was also made possible by the hard work of team members behind the scenes. Special thanks were given to the catering team, those who helped prepare and set up the event and the team members who returned the following morning to help with the clean-up.

The awards night comes at a particularly special time for Trent Bridge Care Home, which recently celebrated two years since first opening its doors.

During that time, the home has continued to grow its community and develop a strong multidisciplinary team united by a shared commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

The Team Awards Night provided an opportunity to reflect on that journey and, most importantly, recognise the people who make it possible.

While not every team member left the evening carrying a trophy, the message of the night was clear: every person and every department have an important part to play in making Trent Bridge a home.
