Toray Pines Tiny Tots Toddler Group Launch Brings Generations Together

A new toddler group at Toray Pines Care Home has got off to a fantastic start, bringing local families and residents together for a morning of activities, storytelling and special intergenerational connections.

Friday 2 October marked the launch of Toray Pines Tiny Tots, a brand-new toddler group hosted at Toray Pines Care Home in Coningsby. The launch was very well received, with lots of local parents bringing their little ones along to take part and enjoy the new community group.

The morning began with one of Toray Pines’ wonderful residents, Jen, reading a story to the children. This provided a lovely opportunity for residents and little ones to spend time together, sharing a story and creating connections between the generations.

The official opening was made extra special by a visit from the miniature ponies from Rainbow Dreaming. The ponies arrived to help launch the group in style, and their visit proved to be a real highlight. The children absolutely loved meeting the ponies, and the parents were just as enthusiastic about the experience.

The new group has been created to encourage meaningful connections between the generations and provide a welcoming space for local families to spend time together. At Toray Pines, the team recognises the positive impact that these interactions can have on residents, offering opportunities to engage with younger generations, share experiences and be part of the wider community.

The residents have already taken the group to their hearts, and Friday mornings are becoming something special to look forward to. Spending time with the children brings variety to their week and creates opportunities for natural, meaningful interactions that benefit both young and old.
