This October, Tanglewood Toray Pines proudly announced a new partnership with Myley, an innovative company dedicated to bringing enriching experiences to care home residents. Through this partnership, Tanglewood residents will have opportunities to explore new places, rediscover the joy of life’s adventures, and enhance mental stimulation and curiosity.
The first excursion took residents and team members to the historic Pennells Garden Centre in Lincoln. Established in 1780, Pennells is the UK’s oldest garden center and, with its current festive décor, offered the perfect setting for residents to reflect on past visits to garden centers, memories of their own gardens, and cherished Christmases at home.
In addition to providing accessible transport, Myley ensures a tour guide accompanies each trip, building relationships with residents and team members.
After exploring Pennells’ vibrant displays, residents enjoyed refreshments with hot drinks and cake in the garden center’s café before returning home with smiles and shared stories.
Looking ahead, the next outing in December will be curated specially for the gentlemen of the home.
