Toray Pines Care Home in Coningsby proudly opened its doors for the launch of its Memory Café, a welcoming community space created to support those affected by dementia, their families, and carers.
The launch event, held as part of Dementia Action Week, was a heartwarming success. Guests enjoyed a morning filled with friendly conversation, warm refreshments, and a shared commitment to making a difference in the lives of those living with memory loss.
“We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us,” said Nicola Eadsforth, Manager of Toray Pines Care Home. “The support and kindness shown by our community made it a truly special morning. Our Memory Café is all about connection, understanding, and support – and we couldn’t have asked for a better start.”
The Memory Café will now run every Friday from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM, offering a regular opportunity for socialising over tea, coffee, and cake in a safe, supportive setting.
In addition to weekly gatherings, Toray Pines will be hosting a series of informative workshops in the coming months, covering important topics such as dementia awareness, aging, and available community support services. These events are part of the care home’s mission to reduce stigma, provide education, and foster a more inclusive environment for all.
“We warmly invite local residents to come along, whether you’re living with dementia, supporting a loved one, or simply interested in learning more and connecting with others,” added Nicola.
