On Saturday 19th August Tanglewood Horncastle held our Summer Fayre, open to the public as well as residents and their family and friends.
We had someone wonderful stalls of the most beautiful handmade cards by Christina’s Creative Creations, hand made wax melts and sea-glass jewellery by Hilyhandmade, a beautiful sweet cart provided by Sinfully Sweet, we had books, jigsaws and vinyl records for sale together with a good old fashioned jumble sale!
You could win an entire wheelbarrow full of bottles of wine (14!), some wonderful prizes on the Tombola, or an enormous plush white lion awarded to the one who correctly guessed the birthday of our therapy dog Archie.
We had a big bouncy castle for the children provided by J E Inflatables, the two most adorable ex seaside donkeys Mocha & Bailey to pet, a performance by talented handbell ringers The Music Makers, and a wonderful singer Al Brown who entertained us for a full hour.
We had a tent selling traditional afternoon teas to raise money for the charity Breast Cancer Now, for which we can happily say that we raised £70.
Most importantly we had fabulous weather, sunny but not too hot, and there was a wonderful atmosphere of fun throughout the entire afternoon.
The Lifestyle Team would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to everyone who gave donations or assisted on the day, it was very much a team effort.
Now, to start planning for Christmas!
