To celebrate the Paralympics this year, Tanglewood Horncastle held its very own Olympic Games in the garden on the 28th of August! Spanning two days, the event was blessed with perfect weather, making the experience even more enjoyable.
Residents competed in four fun-filled events: Javelin (using pool noodles), Beanbag Shot Put, Archery, and Volleyball. For those unable to participate, we encouraged everyone to watch from the garden or their windows, ensuring everyone could be part of the excitement.
The highlight was awarding medals and trophies to the winners, with the grand finale being the raising of our very own Olympic torch!
The event was such a hit with residents and staff alike that many agreed it should become an annual tradition, thanks to the fantastic atmosphere and sense of community it created.
