Tanglewood Has Taste: Comfort Food Classics, Winter Warmer Edition at Cloverleaf Care Home

As part of our Burns Night celebrations, our lovely chefs prepared traditional Scottish haggis, giving residents and families the option to enjoy this classic dish for lunch. For those who preferred an alternative, roast gammon was also available, along with a delicious nut roast for our vegetarian residents. We were also delighted to welcome local residents aged 65+ to join us as part of our Winter Warmer initiative.

Once lunch was cleared away, residents were truly blown away by the sound of the bagpipes, beautifully played by the wonderfully talented Kirsten. There were lots of smiles — and a few happy tears — as the music brought back cherished memories for many.

The celebrations continued with warming hot toddies made by Vicki, delicious homemade tablet from our admin star Sarah, and shortbread baked by our residents, all while listening to traditional Scottish ceilidh music.

Everyone had a wonderful time filled with laughter, reminiscing, and a real sense of togetherness. A Burns Night to remember at Cloverleaf!
