Sports day at Sandpiper Care Home

This week team members and residents hosted their very own sports day.

We thought this was a great opportunity for our residents to socialise and have lots of fun.

Activities were set out in our lounge area, with residents being split into teams.

Our residents had the opportunity to compete in the following, bean bags toss, balloon volleyball, carpet bowls and tornado balls.

Our Lifestyles team commented, ‘We had such a wonderful morning and the residents and team thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Residents who didn’t wish to participate still enjoyed the day by supporting the competitors and enjoyed the cheerful atmosphere. Thanks to our team for participating also. ‘

Mary commented ‘I forgot how competitive I can be.’

Elizabeth commented, ‘I loved it, the staff did a great job. We all had so much fun.’
