Saddle Up for a Rootin’ Tootin’ Rodeo Picnic!

Residents, families, friends, and members of the local community came together for an unforgettable Wild West-themed Rodeo Picnic, transforming our gardens into a lively western frontier filled with fun, entertainment, and laughter.

Hay bales dotted the gardens, creating the perfect setting for a range of traditional fairground games and activities, including cornhole, a coconut shy, a thrilling rodeo bull, and a giant drop slide. Guests of all ages embraced the Wild West spirit, enjoying an afternoon packed with excitement and community spirit.

Adding to the fantastic atmosphere was live entertainment from the talented Charlie Sinclaire, while stilt walker Charlie Beavers delighted visitors with his larger-than-life performances, bringing smiles to everyone throughout the event.

Our Head Chef, Ryan, fully embraced the theme by preparing a delicious Crawfish Boil alongside a mouth-watering barbecue. Supported by a team of dedicated volunteers, Ryan served an incredible selection of freshly cooked food, ensuring guests enjoyed an authentic taste of the Wild West.

One of the day’s biggest highlights was the rodeo bull competition, where participants tested their balance and determination to see who could stay on the longest. After some impressive performances, the coveted title went to Erin, who claimed victory with an outstanding ride time of 2 minutes and 21 seconds.

Families and visitors also enjoyed capturing special memories at our Wild West-themed photo booth, complete with cowboy hats, bandanas, and a variety of fun props, providing plenty of opportunities for memorable photographs.

The Rodeo Picnic was a tremendous success, bringing residents and the wider community together for an afternoon filled with joy, laughter, delicious food, and unforgettable entertainment. Events like these are a wonderful way to strengthen community connections, create lasting memories, and celebrate the importance of spending quality time together.
