Residents Enjoy a Vibrant Day Out at Nottingham Caribbean Carnival

Residents Noreen and Russ enjoyed a vibrant and memorable day at the Nottingham Caribbean Carnival, held at the iconic Victoria Embankment.

With the sun shining and music in the air, the couple were full of excitement as they took their place along the route to watch the dazzling dancing troupes and colourful costumes pass by. The next hour was filled with lively conversation, warm greetings, and plenty of smiles as they met some of the wonderful performers taking part in the celebration.

The visit was especially meaningful for Noreen and Russ, as returning to the Meadows sparked fond memories. Russ recalled playing football on the very same fields in his youth, while Noreen remembered walking across the nearby bridge during her lunch breaks.

After soaking up the atmosphere and collecting many new memories, the couple enjoyed a relaxing moment with a cold drink, taking in the views and reflecting on a fantastic day.

The outing was also a fitting way to continue the celebrations for Russ, who turned 96 just the day before. Congratulations to Russ on this milestone birthday—we’re so pleased you and your lovely wife had such a special day!
