Residents enjoy a Christmas outing to Pennells Garden Centre

Residents from Cloverleaf Care Home enjoyed a truly magical festive morning on a Myley Tours trip to Pennells Garden Centre, where Christmas cheer filled every corner.

With shelves brimming with decorations and seasonal delights, residents loved browsing the beautiful ornaments and festive displays. Along the way, a few special treats were picked up, including charming robin decorations, a Christmas owl ornament, Lincolnshire plum bread, festive gonks, and some lovely Christmas cards.

After taking in all the festive sights, the group stopped at the café to enjoy refreshments, cake, and flapjack, which went down a treat and gave everyone a chance to relax and chat.

A huge thank you goes to our wonderful Tours Leader, John, who safely drove us to Pennells and kindly escorted everyone around the garden centre. His support helped make the morning run smoothly and allowed residents to fully enjoy the experience.

The trip also sparked many joyful moments and memories. Joy shared her excitement at visiting her favourite place, saying she loves Pennells even more at Christmas — especially with so many robin decorations to choose from. Barbara’s face lit up as we arrived, reminiscing about past visits with her partner, Terry. Tina was delighted to find a beautifully crafted owl ornament made from bark for her bedroom, while Mary enjoyed choosing a new 2026 diary and a special Christmas card for her partner, Richard. Maureen smiled from start to finish, taking in the magical displays with wonder and delight.

It was a wonderful morning filled with smiles, festive spirit, and cherished memories for everyone involved.
