Residents at Toray Pines Welcome Special Year of the Horse Visitor for Chinese New Year Celebration

What a truly wholesome and magical day we’ve had celebrating Chinese New Year here with our wonderful residents! As it’s the Year of the Horse, we were absolutely delighted to welcome a beautiful horse from Rainbow Dreaming for a very special morning visit.

The joy on everyone’s faces said it all — eyes lit up, big smiles all round, and so many heart-warming moments shared. There’s something so special about the gentle presence of these amazing animals, and it was clear just how much it meant to our residents.

One of the most touching moments of the day was when our lovely resident Roger received a very special bedside visit from the horses. Seeing his face light up and watching him gently interact with them was simply priceless. It meant the world to us to be able to bring that magic right to him — a truly beautiful and unforgettable moment.

We were also honoured to have Scott from BBC Radio Lincolnshire join us to report on the visit and capture the magic of the day — such a proud moment for us all!

To round off our celebrations, we enjoyed a delicious Chinese lunch together. Full bellies, happy hearts, and plenty of laughter filled the room — the perfect ending to a fantastic day. 🥢🥠
