Humberston House is a brand new 72-bedroom care sanctuary that is dedicated to providing resident comfort and safety. A home away from home, Humberston House is nestled within a humble neighbourhood in Humberston that encourages a sense of community. In close proximity to both Cleethorpes and Grimsby, Humberston House establishes itself as a top-tier luxury residential care home in Lincolnshire that senior residents can rely on to receive the best care service they deserve.  

At Humberston House, we believe in the practice of empathy and kindness. Here, our dedicated team aims to provide premium care services to the best of their ability, including dementia care and palliative care. A space to embrace life at your own pace, we encourage senior residents to have full control over their daily routines, supplemented with round-the-clock care services to ensure maximal safety and comfort. Our Lifestyle Coordinators actively support residents to take part in activities they enjoy. Residents can join a wide range of social and learning activities. These include intergenerational visits with children from Cloverfield Primary School, Virtual Cruise experiences, and inclusive Makaton workshops. Each activity supports communication, learning, and connection.

Facilities

Humberston House care home boasts 72 elegantly furnished bedrooms with private ensuite wet rooms, alongside spacious communal areas, a lounge equipped with a kitchenette, and a cosy bistro. Residents can enjoy an in-house cinema, pamper themselves at the hair and beauty salon, or relax in serene landscaped gardens. With personalised care plans, a rich social activities programme, and delicious homemade meals, every need is catered to. Additional amenities include a tea room, library with quiet spaces, and a wellness room, all designed to ensure a comfortable, engaging living environment for residents.

In the summer months, residents and their guests spend time outdoors in our landscaped gardens. We host our annual Summer Fair in these spaces, with live entertainment and time to relax together.

During the winter months, residents gather in our cosy communal lounges and themed rooms. We run our Winter Warmer initiative here, welcoming local older people for hot meals and friendly company.

If you’re aged 65 or over, you’re invited to join us for our Winter Warmer initiative — enjoy a hot, nourishing meal in the comfort of our homes up to three times a week.

With the cost of living rising, we know it’s not always easy to stay warm and well-fed — so we’re here to help. Come along for good food, warmth, and friendly company at Humberston House Care Home.

Life at Humberston House

Humberston House allows residents to choose a pace of life that suits them best, whilst providing them a new chapter in their life within a caring community. The beauty of our home is that relatives can have peace of mind knowing their loved one is in safe hands. The homes delightfully manicured gardens offer a perfect setting for loved ones and friends to visit in the safety of a care home environment. There are no set visiting hours, in keeping with the Tanglewood philosophy, guests are welcome any time.

Our team also arranges regular outings to well-loved local places. These include visits to The Countryman Pub, nearby garden centres, and seaside trips for National Beach Day. With Humberston and Grimsby close by, families often combine visits with local days out.

Recent events have brought residents, families, and neighbours together. Our Sycamore Community unveiling and Christmas Fair created shared moments of celebration and pride.

In 2024, Humberston House Care Home proudly welcomed Claire Stainton as its new Home Manager. Claire transitioned to Humberston from a sister home within the Tanglewood Care Homes group, following a well-deserved promotion. With a wealth of experience in the care sector and a proactive, results-driven approach, Claire has quickly become an invaluable addition to the Humberston team.
