Avocet House Care Home offers Residential and Dementia Care

Located within the new Quadrant development in Boston, Avocet House offers luxurious and contemporary living in a safe and thriving residential area. The Quadrant boasts a variety of commercial outlets and delightful places to eat and drink. Residents can enjoy views of Boston United’s new football ground, situated just across the A16. Conveniently, our care home is only 1.9 miles away from the town centre, a brisk 7-minute drive, where residents can experience the bustling Boston market held twice a week. Additionally, the towns of Spalding and Grantham are just 15 miles and 19 miles away respectively, offering accessibility and convenience with comfort.

Avocet House is a 66-bed residential care home offering luxurious facilities, including ensuite wet-rooms, social areas, and stylish décor. Our amenities include a tearoom, cinema room, sky bar, hairdressing salon, communal lounges and dining areas. Avocet House ensures a quality and independent lifestyle amongst our residents, providing 24/7 care services, including dementia care and residential care, while promoting resident autonomy over their daily routines. Our team at Avocet House prioritise the comfort, happiness, wellbeing and safety of our residents. Tailored care plans cater for everything from medications to likes and dislikes. Our care home residents and their families agree—one relative said to the CQC inspector, “The care is very good, we’ve got no complaints at all, it’s like a family here.” We appreciate the decision to move into a care home can be a difficult one, our friendly team will be on hand to support you throughout the process.

Facilities

Avocet House opened in November 2020 and is a beautiful three-storey, 66 bed purpose-built care home that successfully combines modern design and furnishings with comfortable living. Each bedroom is spacious with plenty of natural light and paired with ensuite wet-room facilities. With input from residents and relatives, the team at Avocet House will help personalise each bedroom with favourite paintings, photographs and furnishings. Our residents agree on the quality of the environment, telling care home quality inspectors, “It’s absolutely amazing here, like a 5-star hotel.” Furthermore, our dedicated team is highly trained and supportive. We focus on enabling independence—we were proud that inspectors heard stories of residents achieving greater mobility, including one who “came here in a wheelchair and is now able to walk around on their own.”

Life At Avocet House

We fundamentally believe that life at Avocet House is the start of a new chapter. Our caring community provides residents with the perfect place to choose a pace of life that suits them best. In the summer months our landscaped gardens offer an ideal spot for relatives and friends to interact in the comfort of the care home environment. We work closely with health partners; a visiting professional told inspectors our communication is “always really good” and we “respond quickly” to any changes in care. Furthermore, our management is responsive, and complaints are “investigated and resolved promptly.”
