Avocet House opened in November 2020 and is a purpose-built, three-storey care home offering 66 spacious bedrooms. Designed to combine modern style with comfortable living, each room features plenty of natural light and a private en-suite wet room. With support from our team, residents can personalise their space with favourite furniture, photographs and keepsakes to truly feel at home.

Our highly trained, supportive team is committed to promoting independence and wellbeing. Residents and families regularly praise the environment and quality of care, with inspectors hearing positive feedback about improved confidence, mobility and overall quality of life.

Life At Avocet House

We fundamentally believe that life at Avocet House is the start of a new chapter. Our caring community provides residents with the perfect place to choose a pace of life that suits them best. In the summer months our landscaped gardens offer an ideal spot for relatives and friends to interact in the comfort of the care home environment. We work closely with health partners; a visiting professional told inspectors our communication is “always really good” and we “respond quickly” to any changes in care. Furthermore, our management is responsive, and complaints are “investigated and resolved promptly.”
