As part of Tanglewood, an award-winning care home provider with over 30 years of experience, Abbey Wood Lodge is designed and equipped to meet a wide range of needs, including dementia care. Our Ormskirk care home‘s team of experienced care staff, led by Home Manager Allison Kennie, a registered mental health nurse with over 30 years’ experience, work closely with residents and their families to provide a truly person-centred service.

Gavin Trerise

Starting as a care assistant in Cornwall at the age of 17, Gavin has 25 years of experience in social care. He progressed quickly, and was promoted to an Assistant Manager at just 22 years old. Gavin then became a Registered Manager and was instrumental in gaining several homes CQC ratings “Good”, and “Outstanding”. Now at Abbey Wood Lodge, Gavin is focused on constantly improving the experience for the residents, families and team of our home.
