30+ Years of Regulated Excellence

We are proud of our “Outstanding” rating at Holbeach Meadowsand consistent “Good” ratings for homes including Avocet House, Richard House, and Hunters Creek.

A National Presence with Local Roots

We offer luxury senior living across Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire (including the award-winning Trent Bridge), and Yorkshire (featuring the brand-new, sustainable Lindley Park).

Deep Community Integration

From partnering with Notts County FC to sponsoring Louth Town FC, our residents remain active participants in local life.

Residential Care

Residential care is generally for people who require a low level of support, and who do not have nursing or specialist care needs. Ideal for older adults who find living at home independently more difficult and require some support with daily tasks. It may include assistance with washing and bathing, and other activities of daily living. It is primarily for those who are finding it difficult to cope at home, or who need more help than home carers are able to provide.

At Tanglewood, we believe that moving into a care home is the start of a wonderful new chapter. Our residential communities are designed to sweep away the stresses of home maintenance and isolation, replacing them with a vibrant social life and a “safety net” of 24/7 support. We don’t believe in rigid schedules. Whether it’s enjoying a quiet morning with a book in our shared garden rooms or joining a resident-led hobby group, we are here to facilitate the life you want to lead.

Care Homes Deeply Rooted in the Community

Life at Tanglewood extends far beyond our care home’s front doors. We are proud of our local ties, from sponsoring Louth Town FC to hosting school visits that bring generations together.

Settling Into Care

We know that feeling at home is about the little things. We encourage you to bring your favourite armchair, photos, and keepsakes. Our teams, like those at Cedar Falls, take great pride in helping families stage rooms before arrival so the welcome is as warm as possible.

Nursing Care

Nursing care is for people who require it 24 hours a day. Our nursing care is based on the Residents Care Plan. The Care Plan focuses on the individual, taking a holistic approach to make sure individual needs are met with input from families, should they wish to be involved.

For individuals with complex medical requirements, our homes provide round-the-clock support from registered nurses. We coordinate directly with NHS discharge teams to facilitate rapid assessments, ensuring all specialist equipment and care plans are ready for a smooth transition from hospital. Our team at Hunters Creek is commended for collaborative medical processes, including nationally recognised glucose monitoring for effective medication management.

Respite Care

Respite care is generally ‘short term’ for people who are usually looked after by a relative or professional carer at home. It is also for people who have been in hospital but require a period of convalescence. Many people arrange a trial stay as a temporary resident to see if the home is the right long term option for them.

Respite care is the perfect way to experience the Tanglewood lifestyle. Whether you need a break for a carer’s holiday or want to “test drive” our community before making a permanent move, you’ll receive the exact same warm welcome and full access to our activities and outings.

We are proud of our CQC Good and Outstanding ratings, which reflect our unwavering dedication to quality.

Funding Support

We accept funding from all local authorities. Our managers are here to hold your hand through the financial journey, from self-funding to NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC).

Day Care

At Tanglewood we recognise that some people are not ready to move into a care home permanently, or ready for any overnight stays. We do also recognise that as a carer you may still require support, and that you or your loved one may require some social interactions with other individuals. We can support you with this by offering day care services.

Palliative Care

At Tanglewood we understand that end of life care is an extremely difficult time, and we want to support you in this process by providing a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Our teams are compassionate and caring, and will provide you with all the support you and your loved one require.

What are the care home communities like?

Our care homes in Lincolnshire

Our residents embrace the great outdoors and local heritage. At Sandpiper in Alford, you’ll find our resident “superstar” gardener leading the way in our greenhouses, while over at Meadows Park, we stay rooted in the community by sponsoring Louth Town FC.

Our care homes in Nottinghamshire

Life is about luxury and connection. At Beeston Rise, our residents enjoy a sophisticated social calendar, including Bistro Italiano nights and trips to the Nottingham Winter Wonderland.

Our care homes in Yorkshire

We focus on award-winning engagement. At York Manor, our lifestyle coordinators have been recognized as Activity Organisers of the Year, ensuring every day is filled with purpose.

How does Tanglewood feel different from staying at home?

It’s about the “continuum of companionship.” While home care can feel like a series of appointments, Tanglewood is a constant community. There is always a friendly face for a chat and a team on hand to ensure you never feel alone.

What if care needs change?

One of the greatest reassurances we offer is the “Continuum of Care.” Many of our homes provide both residential and nursing support, meaning if your health needs evolve, you can often stay in the home you love, surrounded by the friends and staff you already trust.

Can we visit at any time?

Absolutely. There are no set visiting hours. We celebrate family connection constantly, from grandparents attending weddings to spontaneous family afternoon teas.

How do you keep my loved one diagnosed with dementia safe?

Safety is woven into the fabric of our homes. We use discreet, respectful security and monitored layouts that allow residents to move freely and explore our secure gardens without feeling restricted.

Can you help us stay connected as a family?

We use technology like the LifeLibrary app to build digital memory books with you, ensuring we know the songs, stories, and people that matter most to your loved one.

Is there a nurse available at night?

Yes. We maintain a full clinical presence 24 hours a day. We monitor our staffing levels constantly to ensure every resident receives the attentive care they deserve.

What if we are moving from a hospital?

We will help to take the stress out of the process. Our care home managers coordinate directly with hospital discharge teams for a quick health assessment and a smooth move-in day into the care home.
