Residents at Mount Croft Care Home were treated to a heartwarming and imaginative celebration on March 5th, as staff marked World Book Day in truly memorable fashion.
The dedicated team embraced the spirit of the day by dressing up as a variety of beloved literary characters, transforming the home into a lively scene full of colour, fun, and storytelling magic. From classic favourites to modern tales, the creative costumes brought smiles, laughter, and plenty of conversation among residents.
The initiative wasn’t just about dressing up—it was a thoughtful way to engage residents, spark memories, and share a love of books. Staff spent time reading stories, chatting about favourite novels, and encouraging everyone to take part in the celebrations.
Residents were delighted by the effort, with many enjoying the chance to reminisce about stories from their own lives and childhoods. The event created a warm, joyful atmosphere that highlighted the strong sense of community within the home.
A member of the team said, “We wanted to do something special to show our residents how much they mean to us. Seeing their smiles made it all worthwhile.”
The celebration is just one example of how Mount Croft Care Home continues to go above and beyond to create meaningful experiences, proving that even small moments can make a big difference.
