Memory Lane Choir

This month, Humberston House Care Home experienced a truly memorable event with a visit from the enchanting Memory Lane Choir. Originating from the north east Lincolnshire community group, Friendship At Home, this choir holds a special place in the hearts of many.

Friendship At Home CIO, a registered charity established in September 2006 with initial funding from a legacy left to Help the Aged, was born out of a desire to combat the pervasive loneliness and isolation faced by older individuals. Witnessing firsthand the struggles older people face on a daily basis a Senior member of the team made a commitment to extend a helping hand. Alongside befriending services, Friendship At Home offers a plethora of social clubs and activities, including the beloved Memory Lane Choir, tailored specifically to support those with memory concerns.

Approximately 30 choir members graced the halls of Humberston House, filling the air with melodies and lifting the spirits of our residents. Their performance was nothing short of spectacular, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to attend.

A heartfelt thank you is extended to everyone who contributed to this extraordinary performance. The afternoon was truly magical, brimming with joy and laughter. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to welcome you back again in the near future, as our hearts are warmed by the memories you’ve created with us.
