Stanley is a therapy puppy in training. His older brother Archie the whippet, has been visiting Tanglewood Horncastle on a weekly basis for some time now and is a firm favourite with the team and residents alike who really look forward to and value his weekly visits.
Little Stanley is eager to follow in Archie’s footsteps and responds eagerly to all the love and fuss he gets from the team and residents on the occasions that he too has popped in accompanied by his human Michelle.
Michelle says he already at only a few months old has all the makings and temperament of becoming a fantastic therapy dog.
Tanglewood’s residents respond incredibly well to dog therapy it has become an integral part of life within the care home. For some residents it brings about a calming effect, whist for others it allows them to reminisce of times when they perhaps had pets over the years with their families and loved ones. Dogs are wonderful companions for our residents, and we love having them in to visit us.
