Meadows Park christmas fair delights residents and guests

Meadows Park hosted a fantastic Christmas Fair on 6th December, bringing together residents, guests, and the local community for a day full of festive cheer.

The fair featured a variety of craft stalls from members of the community, offering everything from cakes and dog treats to handmade crochet crafts, wax melts, and much more. Meadows Park also ran its own exciting stalls, including the Human Fruit Machine, where players pressed a sound effect button while three participants rolled their arms to randomly select coloured baubles—match the colours and win a prize! This was a firm favourite with attendees. Another popular attraction was Water and Wine, and the event even featured a festive encounter with the Grinch, played brilliantly by Ryan, the head chef, who stayed fully in character—even when challenged by a brave child to eat a raw onion!

Adding to the festive atmosphere, live entertainment was provided by the talented singer Laura Harvey, who performed a wide range of songs spanning the 1940s, 50s, and beyond, including many Christmas classics. Residents and guests alike were soon singing along and tapping their feet to the music.

Everyone had a wonderful day, and a huge thank you goes to all the staff and volunteers whose dedication and spare time made the event possible. The Meadows Park Christmas Fair was a joyous celebration of community, music, and festive fun.
