Sleaford Hall Residents Enjoy Day Trip to Woodhall Spa

Residents from Sleaford Hall Care Home recently enjoyed a delightful day trip to Woodhall Spa, spending time outdoors and exploring one of Lincolnshire’s most popular villages. The outing provided an opportunity for residents to socialise, reminisce and enjoy meaningful experiences beyond the home.

Exploring the Attractions of Woodhall Spa

The atmosphere was filled with excitement as residents set off for a few hours out in the fresh air. A scenic drive took them past local landmarks including Jubilee Park, the historic Petwood Hotel and the famous Kinema in the Woods.

Upon arrival, the group stretched their legs with a leisurely walk through the village, taking in the sights and enjoying the welcoming atmosphere. Residents explored several charity shops, where resident Jason even found a stylish new cap.

A Memorable Day Out for Residents

The group also visited the memorial to the 617 Squadron, taking time to reflect on local history and the community connections that make Woodhall Spa such a special place.

Regular outings and engaging activities play an important role in supporting wellbeing, helping residents remain active, connected and engaged with the wider community.

Traditional Fish and Chips in Coningsby

The outing continued with a much-anticipated stop at Chip Monks in Coningsby, where a traditional lunch of golden fish and chips awaited. Laughter and conversation flowed as residents enjoyed delicious food together and shared stories from their day.

Shirley particularly cherished the opportunity to reminisce about her childhood memories of Woodhall Spa, making the trip even more meaningful.
