Residents of York Manor recently enjoyed a delightful excursion to the breathtaking Castle Howard, an award-winning stately home and gardens. On this special day, everyone was eager to embrace the beauty and history of this iconic location. The trip was organised at the request of Tina, a beloved resident who holds fond memories of her visits.
Upon arrival, the group was warmly welcomed by a stunning peacock, providing an enchanting start to their adventure. A visit to the Fitzroy Café followed, where everyone indulged in delicious cake and enjoyed a steaming cup of coffee, fueling their excitement for the day’s explorations.
In true whimsical fashion, a vibrant tractor-pulled train whisked the residents to the entrance of the house, ensuring that accessibility was available for all. Laughter rumbled through the air as the joyous group travelled together, sharing stories and soaking in the vibrant surroundings.
Once inside Castle Howard, the residents wandered through the exquisite rooms, admiring the rich history and stunning architecture. The knowledgeable staff added to the experience, sharing fascinating stories behind the ornate structures and captivating art pieces.
Returning to York Manor, residents fondly recalled their remarkable day, eagerly planning a rematch visit to the wonders of Castle Howard. Such treasured outings strengthen connections and provide moments of happiness for everyone involved.
