Holbeach Meadows Care Home Achieves Outstanding CQC Rating at First Inspection

Holbeach Meadows Care Home in Holbeach, Lincolnshire is celebrating after earning the highest possible rating of ‘Outstanding’ from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) during its very first inspection since opening in 2022.

The 66-bed Lincolnshire care home, which offers residential, respite, palliative, and dementia care, scored Outstanding in Caring, Effective, and Well-Led categories, and Good in Safe and Responsive, giving it an overall Outstanding rating.

Exceptional Care and Leadership

The CQC praised Holbeach Meadows for its compassionate culture, strong leadership, and person-centred approach, which empowers residents to live with dignity, choice, and independence. Inspectors described the home as “a vibrant, nurturing place where people can truly thrive.” They highlighted that residents felt “safe, respected, and genuinely cared for” and noted the home’s commitment to listening, responding, and continuously improving.

Residents and their families shared overwhelmingly positive experiences. One resident said:

“I feel safe here, I just do. Nothing worries me and the staff are here to look out for me.”

Another resident added:

“We have a good laugh together when they help me. They always knock before they come in, which means a lot. It feels like my home.”

A family member commented:

“When we looked around homes, Holbeach Meadows just shone above the rest. It’s welcoming, warm, and feels like a hotel. The staff have been exceptional from day one and treat Mum with such kindness and respect.”
