What’s Included in the Cost?

At Tanglewood, when you choose to join one of our homes, you can be confident that the cost of your care reflects a high standard of living, personalised attention, and a nurturing environment where you’ll feel truly at home.

Personalised Pre-Admission Assessment

Before you move in, we’ll carry out a full pre-admission assessment to understand your individual care needs, preferences, and personal routines. This is an important part of ensuring that your care is tailored specifically to you. It also helps us to determine the appropriate weekly fee based on the support you’ll receive and the room you choose.

Whether you need residential care, support with dementia, or palliative care, your care package will be carefully designed to reflect your needs and wishes. You’ll also have the opportunity to personalise your living space to help make it feel just right for you.

Clear and Open Conversations

We understand that moving into care is a significant decision, not only emotionally but also financially. That’s why we always have open and supportive conversations with you and your family about the financial aspects of care.

To help us guide you through this process, we may ask for an overview of the funds and assets available to support your care. This helps ensure that the care package we put together is suitable and sustainable for the long term.

We do not charge any administration or joining fees. Our focus is on making your transition into our home as smooth and welcoming as possible, without unnecessary costs.

What’s Included in Your Weekly Fee

Additional Services

We offer a rich and varied lifestyle programme designed to make each day enjoyable and meaningful. From musical afternoons and creative arts to gardening clubs, fitness sessions, and day trips, there’s always something to look forward to.

Our dedicated activities co-ordinators will take the time to get to know you, your hobbies, interests, and favourite pastimes. This helps us shape a lifestyle programme that’s personal and rewarding. We also hold monthly residents’ meetings, so you have the opportunity to share your ideas and help shape the home’s activities calendar.

Some optional extras may incur a small additional charge. But we’ll always make these clear in advance and help you choose what suits you best.

At Tanglewood, we’re here to make sure every aspect of your life is supported with care, compassion, and respect. If you ever have a question about what’s included or what to expect, we’re always happy to help.

Deposits and Payment Terms

At Tanglewood, we aim to keep our payment process as straightforward and transparent as possible, so that you and your family can focus on what really matters, feeling at home and well cared for.

We’re pleased to confirm that we do not charge any administration or joining fees to our residents. We generally do not take deposits, however if a family would like to hold a room, please do talk to the care home manager. From your very first enquiry to the day you join us, we’re committed to clear communication and a supportive transition into your new home.

Payment Terms

  • Respite Care: For short-term stays, such as respite care, we kindly request that fees are paid in full by card at the home, in advance of your stay. This helps ensure a smooth and seamless admission process.
  • Permanent Care: For long-term residential, dementia or palliative care, we ask that fees are paid monthly in advance via direct debit. This allows us to continue delivering exceptional care.

Preferred Method of Payment

Our preferred method of payment for permanent care is direct debit, as it offers a convenient and secure way to manage your monthly fees. We’ll help you get everything set up so payments are made automatically, without any extra worry.

If another method of payment is more suitable for you, our team will be happy to discuss alternative arrangements.
