Digni-tea party

We kicked off dignity week with a ‘Digni-tea party!’ Families were invited to take part and join in with the fun too.

The amazing ukulele duo, Caroline and Pete, from J’ukebox performed for us. Our resdients were excited to get up and have a dance, whilst others clapped along to the music and were swaying their hands fromside to side.

With so many familiar songs, everyone joined in singing a long, it was amazing to watch and to see the joy on the residents faces.

Afterwards, residents enjoyed a selection of finger sandwiches, scones with cream & jam and a variety of different cakes; Jamaican sponge, swiss rolls, battenberg and jam tarts, all served with a cup of tea or coffee.

One resident commented, ‘This has been so nice.’ Whilst another asked ‘When are they coming back again? They’re really good!’

Team member, Michelle said, ‘Hayley Jackson you’re doing a fabulous job, so nice seeing those smiley beautiful faces.’

Hazel, daughter of one of the residents said, ‘This looks amazing!’

Hayley, Activity Lead said, ‘What a wonderful way to start the week! Live music, singing, dancing and cake. It was such a brilliant atmosphere with so many happy residents!’
