Dementia café at Cedar Falls

At Cedar Falls Care Home our lifestyle co-ordinator Jenny planned and held our first dementia café.

The idea behind a dementia café was to allow our residents with a diagnosis of dementia to spend time with others who understand, to discuss their diagnosis, learn from others in a similar situation, keep active, make new friends, and feel more confident.

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed having a hot drink, cakes, playing board games and chatting with one another.

The dementia café will continue to be a regular occurrence at Cedar Falls.
