Residents at York Manor Care Home recently enjoyed a flavour-filled Curry Day after sharing that they fancied a traditional curry meal.
Rather than simply ordering takeaway food, the team transformed the home into its very own pop-up restaurant experience, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere for residents to enjoy together.
York Manor teamed up with the team at Indian Spice in York, who provided a fantastic selection of authentic curries packed with flavour. With dishes ranging from mild and creamy options to rich and aromatic favourites, there was something to suit every taste.
The event proved hugely popular, with residents gathering to enjoy the food, chat with friends and share the experience together. The dining room was filled with conversation, laughter and plenty of happy faces as everyone tucked into the special menu.
Staff said it was wonderful to see how much residents enjoyed the afternoon, with many praising both the quality of the food and the restaurant-style atmosphere created within the home.
York Manor Care Home thanked Indian Spice for helping to make the event such a success and praised residents for inspiring the idea, highlighting the home’s commitment to turning residents’ wishes and suggestions into meaningful experiences.
