Community Comes Together to Raise Over £700 for Alzheimer’s Fundraiser

Meadows Park are proud to share the success of our recent Alzheimer’s fundraiser, where we raised an incredible total of £706.90.

Our 24-hour treadmill walk raised £298, with staff members dedicating their time by signing up for 30-minute slots throughout the challenge. The event began at lunchtime on Saturday 23rd May and continued right through the night until lunchtime on Sunday 24th May. During the fundraiser, Chiq also hosted a dementia workshop, giving residents and visitors valuable insight into what it can be like to live with dementia.

On Sunday 24th May at 2pm, we launched our Bike Afternoon, which saw a fantastic variety of bikes on display. The bikers were incredibly friendly and accommodating, with a special mention to Michael Adnett, owner of the red trike featured in the first photo with Audrey.

The afternoon also featured a raffle, including two backpacks filled with goodies generously donated by Cadwell Park, as well as a prize of British Superbike tickets. Thanks to the generosity and support of everyone involved, the Bike Afternoon raised an impressive £408.90.

We would like to thank everyone who participated, donated, and supported our fundraiser, helping to make it such a wonderful and successful event.
