Boston Mayoress visits Avocet House resident for birthday celebrations

This week the residents of Avocet House Care Home in Boston, Lincolnshire welcomed Councillor Anne Dorrian who was appointed the Mayoress of Boston in May 2022.

Councillor Anne Dorrian came into Avocet House to visit resident June who was celebrating her 85^th birthday. June who came to Avocet as a respite over a year ago had an extra special birthday this year and enjoyed chatting with Councillor Anne Dorrian over a nice cup of tea and cake.

Cllr Dorrian who takes pride in meeting as many people and residents in the area, was very welcomed into Avocet. Tracey Klue Home Manager commented ‘It was lovely to have Cllr Dorrian in to see the residents and to wish June a very happy birthday. The residents felt very privileged that Cllr Dorrian had taken the time to come and chat with them and very much enjoyed her company. We hope to welcome Cllr Dorrian back to Avocet House for upcoming events in the future.’
