Just months after opening its doors to residents, Bingley Park Care Home has received a ‘Good’ rating across all five areas in its first inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), an achievement that reflects the high standards often recognised through major care home awards and wider care awards programmes across the UK.
The result marks an important milestone for the 72-bed care home on Stoney Ridge Road, which welcomed its first residents in November 2024 and provides residential, dementia, respite, day and palliative care in Bingley.
For residents, relatives and staff, the inspection outcome reflects the work that has gone into establishing the home since opening.

Bingley Park was awarded an overall ‘Good’ rating by the CQC, with inspectors also rating the home as ‘Good’ in each of the five key assessment areas:
The inspection highlighted several strengths throughout the home. Inspectors praised Bingley Park’s positive learning culture and the systems in place to help keep residents safe and supported.
The report also recognised the kindness, compassion and dignity demonstrated by staff members in their daily interactions with residents.
Inspectors noted that care reflected residents’ individual needs, preferences and personal histories rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.
Home Manager Martin Deakin described the rating as a proud achievement for the entire team.
“This is a fantastic achievement and a real testament to the dedication, compassion and professionalism of our entire team,” he said.

One of the strongest indicators of care quality often comes directly from the people experiencing it every day.
During the inspection, residents and their families shared positive feedback about life at Bingley Park.
One family member commented:
“I have peace of mind now.”
Another relative highlighted the home’s commitment to encouraging independence:
“Before my relative came here, they didn’t do very much at all but here the staff encourage them to try and do things.”
Residents themselves echoed these sentiments. One resident told inspectors:
“I can’t do much myself, but they always let me try.”
These comments reflect an approach that focuses on supporting residents to remain as independent as possible while providing the assistance they need.
Families also praised the responsiveness of staff and their proactive approach to healthcare. One relative noted that any changes in a resident’s condition were acted upon quickly, with staff contacting healthcare professionals whenever necessary.

Receiving a positive CQC rating is an important milestone for any care home. Achieving a ‘Good’ rating across all five categories during a first inspection is particularly notable, as newly opened homes are still establishing teams, systems and day-to-day routines.
The inspection highlighted several factors behind the result, including leadership, staff training, personalised care and strong relationships with healthcare professionals.
Inspectors recognised the effectiveness of the home’s leadership team and the systems used to monitor quality and drive continuous improvement.
The report found that staff were well trained and supported in their roles, helping them provide safe and effective care while responding to residents’ changing needs.
The inspection highlighted the home’s commitment to tailoring support around each resident’s preferences, routines and individual circumstances.
Inspectors also recognised the relationships Bingley Park has developed with healthcare professionals and external services, helping residents access specialist support when required.
The CQC findings provide reassurance for people considering care options in Bingley, Bradford and the surrounding area.
The report found that residents felt safe, were involved in decisions about their care, and were supported by a compassionate team. For families exploring residential, dementia, respite, day or palliative care, the inspection offers an independent assessment of the home’s standards and approach.
Martin Deakin said the home remains committed to providing care that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing for every resident.
The achievement is also another positive result for Tanglewood Care Homes, the organisation that operates Bingley Park.
CEO Daniel Rowark-Donowa praised the team for their commitment and dedication, noting that recent ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ ratings across the care home group reflect the efforts of colleagues working throughout the organisation.
While the latest inspection result marks an important milestone, the focus now shifts to maintaining and building upon these standards in the years ahead.
For residents, families and staff, the outcome provides reassurance that strong foundations have been established from the outset.
