A determined team from Beeston Rise Care Home has successfully completed a gruelling climb up Mount Snowdon, taking on the toughest route — the Watkin Path — in challenging weather conditions.
Setting off from Nottingham at 4am on Sunday, the team arrived at the base of Snowdon around 8:30am and began their ascent without delay. Battling five hours of relentless rain, slippery paths, and steep terrain, they reached the summit triumphantly at 1:30pm.
“The Watkin Path truly lived up to its reputation as Snowdon’s hardest route,” said one of the climbers. “At times, the path completely disappeared, and we had to scramble on all fours to keep going — but we were determined to make it to the top!”
Special recognition goes to Ashley, who provided incredible support and encouragement to teammates throughout the challenge.
The Beeston Rise team’s inspiring effort highlights their team spirit, resilience, and commitment — qualities that shine just as brightly within the care home community as they did on the mountain.
