A Wish Come True!

A heartfelt wish became a reality for one of our wonderful residents, Joan, after she added a very special request to our Make-A-Wish Tree – to go horse riding, something she had dreamed of doing all her life but had never had the opportunity to experience.

Thanks to the dedication of our Lifestyles Lead, Jenny, Joan’s dream came true with a visit to Raw Equine Equestrian Centre. There, she received a warm welcome from Sara, who helped make the day truly unforgettable.

Although Joan was understandably nervous at first, she showed remarkable courage as she climbed into the saddle. With every step, her confidence grew, and before long, so did her smile. By the end of the session, Joan was thoroughly enjoying herself, and the joy on her face said it all.

The day was made even more special with the support of Joan’s daughter and granddaughter, who were by her side to encourage and cheer her on every step of the way.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Jenny for organising such a meaningful experience, to Sara and everyone at Raw Equine Equestrian Centre for making Joan’s lifelong wish a reality, and to Joan’s family for sharing this unforgettable moment with her.
