A Summer of Smiles at Sandpiper Care Home

Sandpiper Care Home was filled with music, laughter, and plenty of sunshine in August as residents, families and the local community came together for our much-loved Summer Fair.

There was something for everyone to enjoy, with a fantastic afternoon of entertainment and activities creating a wonderful atmosphere throughout the home.

A particular highlight was a visit from Rainbow Dreaming Ponies, who brought their beautiful ponies along for everyone to meet and enjoy. Their visit created lots of smiles and special moments for our residents and families.

The afternoon was filled with music too, with talented local singer Dylan Rose getting everyone singing along, followed by local band The Wednesdays, who kept the party atmosphere going. Before long, residents, relatives, and staff were up dancing, singing, and enjoying the music together.

Guests were also able to enjoy a delicious BBQ, browse a fantastic selection of stalls from local crafters, and try their luck in our raffle and tombola with plenty of excitement as the winning tickets were drawn.

The Summer Fair was a wonderful opportunity for our residents to spend quality time with their families while enjoying the company of friends, staff, and members of the local community.

There was dancing, there was singing, there was laughter — and most importantly, there were plenty of happy memories made.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who supported our Summer Fair, including Rainbow Dreaming Ponies, Dylan Rose, The Wednesdays, our local crafters, families, friends, and everyone who came along to make the day so special.

At Sandpiper, we believe in creating opportunities for our residents to enjoy life, stay connected with their community and make memories together — and our Summer Fair was a perfect example of just that.
